- I'm nice, I don't drink, smoke or do drugs, I read a lot, I work out more. I love my family, especially my baby brother EthanBoo. I'm obsessed with all things Crossfit and becoming the best trainer I can be. I love to travel and meet new people but the ones who know me best often call me a laid back hermit. I like to hang with CrossFitters in the gym and with my family.. aside from that I pretty much stick to myself. I know I should put together a CrossFit FAQ because 80% of the e-mails CrossFitters send me ask the same few questions. But I still love writing with people who share my love of fitness. I'm proud of my 154# Clean but frustrated by my weak ring dips. I'm trying so hard to fall in love with running or at least get better at it. I'm improving slowly but surely. I'm going to start focusing on training outside of my comfort zone and attacking my weaknesses even though doing things I'm good at is so much more fun. ;)

Considering how you of all people understand the value of creating a brand and managing a public persona The Gorilla finds your remarks to be a little disingenuous.
The Gorilla gets his share of both fan mail and hate mail too. That's part of being an Internet celebrity. Frankly you've done a commendable job of managing your image. If you're only now deciding to retire from the spotlight, that's fine, and your choice. But do you expect anyone to believe that you're surprised by all this?
